The Canadian Grain Commission conducted an audit of Merit Functional Foods Corporation (Merit) and determined that no producers are owed money by the company.
Effective July 1, 2023, Merit Functional Foods Corporation is no longer licensed by the Canadian Grain Commission.

The Canadian Grain Commission conducted an audit of Merit Functional Foods Corporation (Merit) and determined that no producers are owed money by the company.
Merit’s grain dealer licence is subject to the following condition: Merit must not receive grain from producers, purchase grain from producers, or otherwise incur liabilities to grain producers.
On March 1, 2023, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. (PwC) was appointed as the receiver for Merit. Any producers who have current contracts with Merit received a letter from PwC with next steps and contact information.
