The Canadian Grain Commission has concluded the claims process for Zeghers Seed Inc. o/a Zeghers Canada and has issued full compensation to all eligible claims from producers. The Canadian Grain Commission issued compensation totalling over $1.2 million from the company’s security for 27 eligible claims from producers.

We’ve sent out preliminary claim packages to all Zeghers Seed Inc. o/a Zeghers Canada claimants by email. Please review and confirm the details by returning your signed claim forms. If you have questions about your package or haven't received your package, please contact us.
Producers holding primary elevator receipts and/or grain receipts issued by Zeghers Seed Inc. prior to March 25, 2024 and who have not filed a valid claim through our Safeguards for Grain Farmers Program are advised to contact Zeghers Seed Inc. directly for any potential settlement by the company.

As of March 25, 2024, Zeghers Seed Inc. o/a Zeghers Canada is no longer licensed by the Canadian Grain Commission. The company’s grain dealer licence and primary elevator licence located at Holland, Manitoba, have been revoked.
If this company owes you money for grain deliveries, contact our Safeguards for Grain Farmers Program immediately. If you do business with this company on or after March 25, 2024, you will not be protected by security under the Canada Grain Act.
