Purely Canada Foods Corp.
March 6, 2025
Following a review of individual producer claims, the Canadian Grain Commission determined there were 78 eligible claims submitted to the Safeguards for Grain Farmers Program, totalling $17,023,604.66 for eligible unpaid deliveries to Purely Canada Foods Corp. The Canadian Grain Commission issued 100% compensation from the company’s security to these producers.
There were also 13 producer claims outside of the Safeguards for Grain Farmers Program eligibility period, collectively owed over $6,800,000. Some of those claims may have been subsequently compensated by Purely Canada Foods Corp. The Canadian Grain Commission is advocating for producers still owed money and encouraging them to seek payment directly from the company.
