Eastern Grain Standards Committee recommendations from November 4, 2005

Standard samples

At its meeting on November 4, 2005, the Eastern Standards Committee recommended the following standard samples:

• Pea Beans, Good Natural Colour
• Pea Beans, Reasonably Good Colour
• Pea Beans, Fairly Good Colour
• Wheat, No. 1, 2 and 3 Canada Eastern Red
• Soybeans, No. 1 Canada Yellow

Owing to suitable samples not being available, and in accordance with the provisions of Subsection (b) of Section 25 of the Canada Grain Act, the use of the last standard samples set by this committee for other grades of grain grown in the eastern region were recommended for the 2005-06 crop year:

• Wheat, No. 2 Canada Eastern White Winter 2004
• Wheat, No. 1 Canada Eastern White Winter 2000
• Soybeans, No. 2 Canada Yellow 2003
