The Canadian Grain Commission is the federal agency responsible for establishing standards of quality for grain and regulating grain handling in Canada. In this role, the Canadian Grain Commission places great importance on stakeholder engagement.

The Canadian Grain Commission wishes to address several licensing and regulatory issues.

  1. Notice of intent – Licensing review (provided for information)
  2. Maximum shrinkage deductions at licensed process and transfer elevators. Consultation document seeking comments by October 30, 2009
  3. Moisture shrinkage allowance for grain artificially dried at licensed primary elevators. Consultation document seeking comments by October 30, 2009
